Ken Thompson (Andrew's Dad) |
I would like to say "Thanks" to everyone who has left a message of support on this site after reading recent media reports about Andrew's abduction & my journey to find him (& his mother, who also needs to be helped).

Every message means an enormous amount to me. When I begin to feel a bit overwhelmed by the enormity of the task, all I need to do is read some of the comments on this site & on the 'On the Road' blog to lift my spirits.

I also want to thank the many people who visit this site but don't leave a message. The fact you've visited increases the likelihood of Andrew being found as quickly as possible.

Someone, somewhere knows something about Andrew's whereabouts.

Melinda &/or whoever is supporting her needs to do the right thing by Andrew (& by Melinda) & bring this terrible ordeal to a close by contacting either me or the authorities.

Melinda has nothing to fear by doing the right thing.

Kind Regards.

Way too often its the fathers who are cast in a negative light when what was a loving relationship unfortunately ends. It is overwhelmingly evident, that you passionately love your son. This is no more evident than in your decision to travel in search of him, where others might have simply stayed put wishing for good news to come to them.
I'm young and have no children of my own. As such,
I can't begin to fully empathise with what you must be going through. I've nonetheless been deeply moved by your plight
I commend you for not showing anger/hatred towards your estranged wife who who is obviously in need of help.
While this will be a very lonely, and taxing journey, I hope you can draw the strength you need, from the support of others.

Much Love,

A complete stranger

i wish you all the luck in the world in finding Andrew. I can sympathize, children need their Fathers as much as their Mothers.
Godspeed

Find Andrew posters in various languages on this site in the Translations/Posters section. Please download/print out and put some up in your local town, tourist attraction or favourite place. Lets all join together and reunite Andrew with his dad!

Best wishes in your journey. I wish I could be there to help you search. I am a father whose daughter lives many miles away, taken by her mother. I feel your hurt and love for your son. Take Care

My heart goes out to you Ken. My ex has taken my children by accusing me of domestic violence. I never laid a hand on her but she wanted me out of the house. I can only see my kids if and when she allows. 3 times in 3 years. It happens far to often and many men have told me similar stories to mine and worse. The kids always come and find their dad in the end which is a very small consellantion. Keep up the effort and I hope it turns out for the best.
