I arrived in England on 16th May to launch a major initiative in the Global Search for Andrew campaign. It involves me riding a bicycle through parts of the UK & Europe to raise awareness to Andrew & other missing children. Australian & UK media will be carrying stories about this initiative in the lead-up to International Missing Children’s Day (IMCD). Media in other countries will be reporting on this ride & on Andrew's plight as I pass through each country. Pictures of Andrew's mother (Melinda) will also feature largely in the media. The journey began on Monday 17th May 2010 with a 300 km (180 mile) bicycle ride from London through the northern part of England. I am now back in London to take part in a number of media events between now & the official launch of IMCD on 25th May. I will resume cycling within England after the launch, before leaving for Europe. Countries I'll be cycling through while I'm there include: France; Belgium; Luxembourg; Germany; The Netherlands; Poland; Austria; Switzerland; Greece; Italy; Spain; Portugal, as well as several others. Media coverage is being organised in each of these countries through the efforts of several missing children organisations that are situated along the route. It would be great to be joined at any point on this ride by people who want to show their support for this initiative, and/or who want to help raise awareness about missing children. People can ride for as short a distance or for as long a distance as they like. You do not need to be a great cyclist to join in. It is not about speed, it is about raising public & political awareness to an international issue that most people have never heard about & that can potentially affect any child anywhere in the world. The more people who ride with me, the more likely it is that this issue & several associated issues will become more widely known. Visitors to this site can follow the journey on a special blog that can be accessed through the ‘Links’ page of this website It would be highly motivating for me to see people post comments on this blog as the journey unfolds. I will also show Andrew these comments one day.

More than likely I will not be seeing you again before you leave. Through unfortunate circumstances I have found an exceptional friend. Good luck and keep in touch.

I will be leaving Sydney (Australia) on 13th May to attend the UK launch of International Missing Children's Day (IMCD). Andrew is one of six children being featured in the UK's IMCD campaign. He is the only non-UK resident child being featured in that country. Because the country he is now in is not known, Andrew will also be featured in the IMCD campaigns of all participating countries. Immediately after the UK launch, I will be travelling to Europe to take the Global Search for Andrew campaign 'on the road'. A large amount of planning has gone into this part of the campaign. More details will be released shortly. If Melinda is concerned about being "dealt with harshly" if she returns to Australia, which is what she was quoted as telling an Australian journalist in January 2009, my visit to the UK & Europe will give her the opportunity to make contact with me either directly or through someone else so we can meet on neutral territory to discuss Andrew's well-being as two responsible parents. This campaign is being supported by a large number of international organisations & the international media. It has been designed to be sustainable indefinitely. If Melinda does not come forward by herself, the chances of the whereabouts of Andrew being disclosed by someone who either already knows where Andrew is or by someone who will recognise him &/or Melinda as a result of this campaign will increase significantly. Agencies such as Interpol are making sure that any information received by them or their member agencies during this campaign is acted on immediately. Dear Andrew. What has happened to you is a tragedy. I could never have anticipated this happening when you were born & during all the happy times we all had together as a family. There are many thousands of people all over the world who are looking for you & these numbers are increasing every day. If your mother doesn't do the right thing of her own accord, I will find you.
